Terry Tonik

The man, the myth, the legend.

Terry Tonik is my alter ego and in 1980 I released a 7" vinyl single, 'Just a Little Mod' c/w 'Smashed & Blocked' which has become one of the rarest vinyl singles in the U.K. (see The Rare Record Collectors Guide for info). I wrote the songs in 1972 'I remember times in 1965...'as the lyric goes, my memories of being a young Mod. I also produced an accompanying fanzine called 'Talkin''bout My Generation', now out of print, but you can view the contents on this page. You can also see some rare photo contact sheets of T.T. from 1980, on here.

In 1994 'Just A Little Mod' was re discovered by Record Collector magazine and subsequently had a life of it's own, being released on several rare Mod compilations over the years and creating a Mod legend!

I have recently unearthed several other Terry Tonik tracks from my archive and the back catalogue will be available on a new C.D. of six Terry Tonik tracks will be released in 2017 by Indie Mod label Detour Records. The six tracks include two never released songs from the 'Eve Of Destruction' sessions.

My Terry Tonik version of Eve Of Destruction was included in a Pop Culture Experiment article showcasing the many covers of the song.
